School bus involved in wreck in McLeansville

MCLEANSVILLE, N.C. — Officials said no students were injured in a school bus crash Thursday afternoon in Guilford County.

Guilford County Schools officials said a bus carrying 40 students from Sedalia Elementary School was involved in a wreck with another vehicle around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Birch Creek Road and U.S. 70 in McLeansville.

Leonard Simpson with GCS said nobody on board the bus was injured.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.  The extent of the driver’s injuries are not known.

The bus and police had left the scene by 4 p.m.
