REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- Sunday marks one month since a couple was found shot to death in an apparent home break-in in Reidsville and still no arrests have been made.

Douglas Troy French, 48, and Ladonna Mosley French, 45, were found dead at their home at 791 Pinewood Drive around 2 a.m. Feb. 4.

Investigators said an intruder broke in and shot and killed the couple. The couple’s daughter, Whitley French, 19, was home at the time but survived.

Rumors are reportedly circulating and many people said they just want to know the truth.

Resident Samantha Thompson said she believes law enforcement should be doing more to solve the case.

“It seems like they don't even know who they are looking for,” Thompson said.

Donna Voss said she keeps her doors locked at all times and is scared to walk out at night.

Dennis Hall said he believes Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page may have a good idea of what happened but is searching for more evidence.

“I think he's waiting until he has positive proof so it will stand up in court,” Hall said. “I don't think he's going to jump the gun and charge someone.”

Page said the case is still active but there are no new developments.
