RALEIGH, N.C. — Rep. Brad Miller announced Thursday that he is not running for governor.

Miller, who has represented the 13th Congressional District since 2002, announced in late January that he would not seek re-election. The district was redrawn by the Republican-controlled legislature and includes fellow Democrat David Price.

In a statement released Thursday, Miller said he may seek elective office again.

Miller’s statement continues below:

The issues I have worked on in Congress for a decade are the injustice and dysfunction in our nation’s economy….Although my term in Congress expires at the end of the year, I believe I will have other opportunities to continue work on those issues.
