Winston-Salem bank robbed, suspect wanted

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery Friday morning.

The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. at the Latina Community Credit Union on Waughtown Street.

Bank employees told police a man entered the business and gave a teller a threatening note that demanded money.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, and no one was injured, police said.

The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect, pictured above, Friday afternoon. He is described as being between 40 and 55 years old, about 6 feet tall with a “very slim” build and having an acne-scarred face.

The suspect was also wearing gray sweatpants with a dark stripe down the leg, police said.
