Prep Profile: Northwest Guilford Wins Lacrosse Title

Playing in honor of a teammate who died in a skateboarding accident in October, Northwest Guilford brought home its first state title in lacrosse.

The Vikings defeated East Chapel Hill 13-9 in Cary on Saturday to cap off a 20-2 season record. As the time ticked down, the emotions just poured out of the team that has been through a lot this season.

The team dedicated its season to Chase Bunting, who died in a skateboarding accident in October. Bunting was a defenseman on the team and was well-liked around the school by many accounts.
