Lexington Residents Charged With Stealing Metal Storm Grates

Two Lexington residents were arrested after deputies said $1,400 worth of metal storm grates were stolen from a road last year in Winston-Salem.

Joshua Keith Edwards, 28, and Amber Jeanine Pleasant, 25, allegedly removed the items from a roadway on Greenfield Drive on Dec. 22.

Deputies began investigating the case on Dec. 28. Edwards was arrested Saturday and Pleasant on Jan. 17.

Edwards received a $3,500 secured bond and Pleasant a $1,500 secured bond. Both have Feb. 13 court dates. Further details were not released.
