So many farmers were going bankrupt in the 1980s that popular musicians started "Farm Aid." However, today it might be a career worth considering.

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler said North Carolina expanded its agricultural exports by 50 percent, or $1 billion, over the last year. Troxler said exports are expected to continue upward.
