Dollar General in Jamestown robbed Tuesday

JAMESTOWN, N.C. (WGHP)— Deputies are looking for a suspect who robbed a Dollar General store in Jamestown by gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies said the armed suspect entered the business at 715-A W. Main St. at about 3:54 p.m. and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” to 6″ and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, tennis shoes and a blue/green and black ball cap.

A surveillance photo of the suspect has been provided. Deputies said he left in an unknown direction following the crime.
