Nicole Ferguson

Reporter

Nicole is thrilled to be back with Fox8 as a part of the Morning News team.

This is the second time around at Fox8 for Nicole, who was a reporter with the station from 2007-2009. She left to join WTVF, the CBS affiliate in Nashville, during the fall of 2009. While there, Nicole covered several major stories, including the historic flood of 2010.

Love brought Nicole back to Greensboro. She and her husband Tolly are proud parents of a baby girl.

Nicole is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University, and Syracuse University, where she received a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism.

In 2012, Nicole was awarded a fellowship through the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C. She traveled to Beijing to report on the growing North Carolina furniture and agriculture exports to China. She was also a part of the Fox 8 News Team covering the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, and its impact on North Carolina.

In addition to reporting live, breaking news for the morning show, Nicole produces the Forever Family series, teaming up with Seven Homes to find North Carolina children in foster care permanent, safe and loving homes.

Nicole has also enjoyed being an adjunct communications instructor at several local colleges, including her alma mater.

Nicole is a member of the WSSU Board of Visitors, and volunteers with the Winston-Salem chapter of the March of Dimes. She's also an advocate for military families, as she grew up an Army Brat.

Nicole loves to hear from viewers, so when you have a chance, shoot her an email at nferguson@wghp.com. You can also find her on twitter at @NewsWithNicole and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/NicoleFergusonFox8WGHP.
