Sports Anchor

Kevin Connolly began his broadcasting career as an intern at FOX8 in 1986. In his time here, he's been an Associate Producer for the news department, a Reporter/Producer on "Wake Forest Sports Sunday", a Sports Reporter and his current position of Sports Anchor and Reporter on the FOX8 5:00 News, the FOX8 6:00 News and the FOX8 10:00 News.

Kevin helped start the popular FOX8 Prep Profile segment which highlights local high school athletes not only for their accomplishments on the field, but in the classroom as well. Kevin has also hosted the "North Carolina High School Xtra", a 30-minute show devoted to high school sports of this state, which aired on FOX SportsSouth.

Kevin is married and has two sons. He enjoys coaching Little League baseball, spending time with his family, golfing, reading John Grisham novels and sports. Kevin wants to bring fun and enthusiasm to every sportscast because sports ARE games.
