    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Fourth Street will be closed between Patterson Avenue and Linden Street while a crane removes a walkway over the railroad tracks starting Monday. Traffic heading eastbound on Fourth Street will have access to Vine Street and all other traffic will be detoured.     BOSTON, Mass. — A Greensboro man is gearing up to run the Boston Marathon on Monday – a race he was unable to finish last year.     Gunshot victim found at Greensboro gas station, police say

    GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police said one person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being found with an apparent gunshot wound early Sunday at a Greensboro gas station. Police said they found the injured victim after responding to the Shell Gas Station at 2512 High Point Road at around 2:40 a.m. The identity of the victim has not been released.     BLACKSBURG, Va. – The National Weather Service has issued advisories for central North Carolina and the foothills . The NWS said that a deepening low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic Coast combined with high pressure building from the west will bring a prolonged period of strong winds through Sunday night.     Heavy snowfall expected for NC mountains

    BLACKSBURG, Va. – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the mountains of North Carolina on Saturday. The NWS says that periods of heavy snow are expected from midnight Saturday until 4 p.m. Sunday. Accumulations of two to four inches are expected to impact untreated roads creating hazardous driving conditions. It is recommended that drivers be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
