    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was arrested after police seized $220,000 worth of marijuana from his Winston-Salem home early Monday morning. Officers were on an unrelated call when they were drawn to the house at 5525 Shattlon Drive because of a marijuana odor. A warrant was obtained and police searched the house discovering 22 marijuana plants of various sizes, seven grow lights, one black light, one water grow machine and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia.     WEST CALN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A third person has been charged in connection with the beating of a 3-year-old boy that led to his death. A man and his girlfriend are charged with brutally murdering the woman’s 3-year-old son. The mother told police the beating began when the boy would not eat his breakfast.     ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man known as “The Chemist” was arrested in Rowan County after crystal methamphetamine was found in his vehicle and a meth lab was found at his home. Thomas David Martinez, 27, of 1002 Locke Street, Salisbury, is known by investigators as “The Chemist” and reportedly has a chemistry background.
