Paul Choate joined the FOX8 family as a web producer in October 2013.

He came to FOX8 from High Country Press, a newspaper in Boone where he worked first as a general assignment reporter and later as the managing editor.

Originally from the small mountain town of Sparta, Paul has called North Carolina “home” his entire life and loves living in the Piedmont Triad.

Paul is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

When he is not finding and creating content for MyFOX8.com and our social media platforms, Paul is probably cheering on his beloved Los Angeles Lakers, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Braves.

    5 injured in a two-vehicle wreck in High Point

    HIGH POINT, N.C. — Five people, including a child, were injured in a two-vehicle accident in High Point on Thursday evening. According to police, shortly before 9 p.m., police and Guilford County EMS were called to English Road near Oakwood Street on a report of a wreck. Two vehicles were involved in the accident.     CHARLESTON, S.C. — A torso was found at a Charleston marina on Tuesday, according to WCSC. The Charleston County Coroner’s Office said the torso belonged to 30-year-old McCoy Wright, of North Charleston, S.C., who was last seen in September 2014.
