    NC teenage girl riding on hood of car falls off, gets run over

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A teenage girl was struck by a car in east Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon, WSOC reports. A witness told WSOC that the 13-year-old girl was riding on the hood of a car when she fell off and was run over. The girl was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Officials said she suffered broken bones. The accident happened in the area of Granby Avenue and Barncliff Road. The driver was cited for reckless driving.
