Paul Choate joined the FOX8 family as a web producer in October 2013.

He came to FOX8 from High Country Press, a newspaper in Boone where he worked first as a general assignment reporter and later as the managing editor.

Originally from the small mountain town of Sparta, Paul has called North Carolina “home” his entire life and loves living in the Piedmont Triad.

Paul is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

When he is not finding and creating content for and our social media platforms, Paul is probably cheering on his beloved Los Angeles Lakers, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Braves.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a news release from Winston-Salem police. Maxwell Leon Donathan, 33, of King, is charged with 22 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
