    Man robbed in Greensboro home

    GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police responded to a report of a robbery Tuesday evening. Officers responded to a home in the 400 block of South Booker Street around 6:45 p.m. in reference to a robbery call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who said that three black male subjects forced their way into his home, one armed with a knife. The suspects took property and left the area in an unknown direction. An investigation is ongoing.

    AKRON, Ohio — An Ohio school bus driver sacrificed her life to save a child during an evacuation drill, according to WJW.     Kids injured after school bus collides head-on with pickup truck in Durham

    DURHAM, N.C. — Police said Friday a pickup truck crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a school bus, according to WTVD. The accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. on North Roxboro Road at East Ellerbee Street. The driver of the truck and two children on the bus were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Two other students on the bus were not hurt. The bus was headed to Merrick-Moore Elementary School when the accident happened.

    LEXINGTON, N.C. — A Lexington woman accused of killing her 9-month-old daughter in July 2012 accepted a plea agreement Wednesday, according to District 22B District Attorney Garry Frank. Chrystal Nicole Tanksley, of Lexington, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and willful child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. Tanksley was sentenced to serve between five and seven years in prison for the manslaughter charge.
