    Police investigating stabbing in High Point

    HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police are investigating a stabbing in High Point Thursday evening. A man was stabbed at the corner of Furlough Avenue and Meredith Street. Police were dispatched to the scene at 5:13 p.m. The victim was transported to High Point Regional with a serious injury. The identity of the victim or any suspects have not been released.

    Plane, helicopter collide near Maryland airport; 3 dead

    FREDERICK, Md. — Three people have died after a mid-air collision between a helicopter and a small plane near Frederick Municipal Airport, according to WTTG. Two other people were injured. Maryland State Police say it appears all the victims were involved in the crash and no one on the ground was injured.

    KING, N.C. — Police are investigating a robbery at the State Employees’ Credit Union in King on Tuesday evening. At approximately 5:20 p.m. a suspect entered the Credit Union and took an undisclosed amount of money.     2 killed in Salisbury crash

    SALISBURY, N.C. — Two people were killed in a crash in Salisbury on Tuesday, according to WSOC. The crash, involving a truck and a car, happened on Jake Alexander Boulevard near Faith Road. Police said two people died at the scene and other victims were transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center. Investigators are expected to be at the scene for several hours. The victims have not been identified.

    Cause of death determined for 2 bodies found in Clemmons backyard

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Medical Examiner’s Office at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has completed their preliminary postmortem examination of the two bodies found buried in a Clemmons backyard. The remains were found on Oct. 5 in the backyard of 2749 Knob Hill Drive. The victims were identified as 37-year-old Joshua Fredrick Wetzler and 36-year-old Tommy Dean Welch. The cause of death in both cases has been determined to be by gunshot. Three people have been charged in connection with the murders. […]

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been canceled after a missing Winston-Salem man was found Monday. Ralph Gene Wood, 72, was safely found around 11:30 p.m. Monday. The Silver Alert has been canceled.
