    BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man is accused of leading an Alamance County deputy on a high-speed chase, firing gunshots at him and then crashing into another deputy’s cruiser, damaging both vehicles.     A woman exploring a “haunted hospital” in the U.K. said she is shocked after capturing an image on camera of a “ghost doctor.” The Daily Mail reported that Jamie-Leigh Brown captured the image at St. Thomas’s Hospital in Stockport, which has been abandoned for more than a decade.     Gunshot fired at occupied apartment in Greensboro; no injuries

    GREENSBORO, N.C. — No injuries were reported after a gunshot was fired into an occupied apartment room in Greensboro on Saturday morning. Police said officers were called to the Overland Crest Apartments at 3825 Overland Heights at about 11 a.m. in reference to gunshots being fired. A single residence struck the residence, but did not result in injuries, according to police. Suspect information and a motive have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.

    NEW YORK — A Winston-Salem native performed with Hootie & the Blowfish on David Letterman earlier this week, bringing us back to 1994. Peter Holsapple can be seen playing the organ. He currently lives in Durham. There’s a good close up of him at the 1:14 and 2:35 marks. The popular rock group reunited on the show recently, playing the song that started it all for them: “Hold My Hand.” Check it out in the video above.
