    Man, dog rescued from burning house in Guilford Co.

    GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A man was taken to the hospital after firefighters rescued him from a burning house in Guilford County Wednesday morning. Crews responded to the fire at 908 Brushy Fork Drive, Greensboro, just before 7 a.m. The man was found inside the burning home and transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.     ASHEBORO, N.C. — An assistant coach was arrested after deputies received a report of sexual assault from the mother of a 17-year-old female student at Asheboro High School. On Nov. 11, the mother reported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office that her daughter had a sexual encounter with a 25-year-old man who was employed with Asheboro City Schools as an assistant coach and substitute teacher.     WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man was arrested after police seized $220,000 worth of marijuana from his Winston-Salem home early Monday morning. Officers were on an unrelated call when they were drawn to the house at 5525 Shattlon Drive because of a marijuana odor.     ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man known as “The Chemist” was arrested in Rowan County after crystal methamphetamine was found in his vehicle and a meth lab was found at his home.
