A Winter Storm Warning goes into effect at 11 p.m. Tuesday and will last until 4 p.m. Wednesday for many Piedmont Triad counties.
Gov. Roy Cooper has declared a State of Emergency ahead of impending snow in the state.

Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance, Davidson, Randolph and Montgomery counties will be under the warning.
Rockingham, Stokes, Davie and Caswell counties will be under a Winter Weather Advisory Tuesday night into Wednesday.
