Woman injured in shooting in Reidsville

REIDSVILLE, N.C. – A woman was injured and two homes were struck by projectiles after a shooting in Reidsville on Friday night.

Reidsville police said officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. in reference to the shooting.

Arriving officers found a 21-year-old woman had been shot and was taken to a hospital to be treated. Her name has not been released.

The victim has undergone surgery and was in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Residents in the neighborhood said several shots were fired. Investigators found at least two homes that were struck by the projectiles.

No suspects have been named, but there are individuals of interest in the case, Reidsville police said in a press release.
