12 cars broken into overnight in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are investigating after around 12 cars were broken into overnight in the Winston-Salem area, according to a news release.

At about 6:40 a.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Peter Pfaff Drive and the 3200 block of Grandview Drive to investigate a series of break-ins.

Police say various items were stolen and all of the vehicles were unlocked.

Police urge residents to lock their vehicles — as well as their homes — and to report any suspicious activities to authorities.
