Teenager who had been in ‘extreme danger’ found safe, alleged abductor arrested

EVANS, Ga. – A 15-year-old Georgia girl who was abducted has been found safe and her suspected abductor has been arrested.

WRDW reported that the Amber Alert for Calah Waskow that was issued for South Carolina and Georgia has been cancelled.

Jason Johnson, 37, has been arrested in connection to the case. The two were found at a store in Sevierville, Tenn. near Gatlinburg.

Authorities believe Waskow was abducted in Evans, Georgia. She went missing after her mother found her bedroom empty on Monday.

Authorities previously said Waskow had been in “extreme danger.” The family said she should be coming home sometime on Sunday. They were informed on Saturday afternoon that she had been found.
