WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Guns N’ Roses will perform on Aug. 11 at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem as part of a tour that could attract several thousand people.

Tickets will range from $35 to $250 and go on sale Saturday. The “Not in this Lifetime” tour reunites core members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.

The concert will be the first held at Wake Forest University’s football field since a deal was inked just over three years ago between Wake Forest and Greensboro Coliseum, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

The paper reported that the outdoor show could draw as many as 36,000 fans from all over the Southeast.

“These types of events really do help brand and position Winston-Salem as a vibrant destination that attracts visitors from all over the country, and that we are in the big leagues as it relates to entertainment, and in this case great rock ’n’ roll,” Richard Geiger, the president of Visit Winston-Salem, said during a news conference on Monday to announce the concert, according to the Journal.

The iconic rock band rose to fame with their 1987 debut album “Appetite for Destruction,” featuring songs including “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
