Guilford County resident comes home to break-in in progress; suspect sought

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A resident came home to a break-in in progress on Monday morning, according to a news release from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a break-in on Alamance Church Road near the Alamance County line at 10:35 a.m. Monday.

The victim told deputies that upon arriving at home, they saw an unknown man coming out of their residence.

The man fled the scene in a dark-colored Dodge Dakota truck with a distinguished red tailgate, the release said.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office released surveillance photos in connection with the investigation.
