5 face charges after fight at East Bend residence

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — Multiple people have been arrested following a fight at an East Bend residence, according to a news release from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.

On Nov. 27, deputies responded to a residence in East Bend on a report of an assault with serious injuries.

The victim said they had been at a friend’s house, also in East Bend, where a fight started between several occupants there.

On Monday, the following people were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

  • William Mason Norman, 17, of East Bend, is charged with misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, felony attempted first-degree murder, felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony first-degree kidnapping.
  • Elijah McKay Brown, 19, of Yadkinville, is charged with misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony first-degree kidnapping.
  • McKenzie Mae Willard, 17, of Boonville, is charged with felony conspire robbery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
  • Gabrielle Ashton Hicks, 18, of Yadkinville, is charged with felony conspire robbery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
  • Sandra Johnson Norman, 53, of East Bend, is charged with felony conspire robbery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor injury to personal property.

The five suspects are all scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
