2 injured in Greensboro shooting; suspect arrested

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Two people were shot outside an apartment in Greensboro Tuesday evening.

Pashey Qyree Wells, 19, of Greensboro, was taken into custody and is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to a news release from Greensboro police.

Police were called to the one-story apartment at 3320 Beck St. at 4:52 p.m. when one of the victims called 911 to report that he and another person had been shot.

Arriving officers found the victims in the parking lot outside the one-story apartments. Emergency medical personnel provided them treatment before transporting them to a local hospital.

Officers have not determined a motive for the shooting.

Greensboro police have information that there may be a second suspect, the release said.

The incident comes almost a year to the day after a fatal shooting on Beck Street in 2015.
