DURHAM, N.C. — Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a murder suspect that led police on a multiple-county chase early Sunday morning.

WTVD reported that Brandon Xavier Hill, 29, is wanted for the murder of Dwayne Garvey. Garvey, 27, was found shot to death at a Crabtree Valley Mall area hotel Friday. April Lynn Holland, 22, was also killed.

The chase began in Raleigh and ended at Bentwood Apartments on Junction Road. Police told our crew on the scene Sunday morning that Hill fired shots at officers. Later in the day, police told ABC11 that claim was “unsubstantiated.”

According to police, one person who was with Hill is now in custody. Authorities did not disclose his charges.

On Saturday, police arrested Seaga Edward Gillard, 28, and charged him with one count of murder in connection to the death of Holland.
