Occupied apartment struck during drive-by shooting in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are investigating after an occupied apartment was struck during a drive-by shooting Monday night.

Officers dispatched to the 1900 block of Morningside Drive around 9 p.m. in reference to a drive-by shooting, according to a press release. Police say two or three men shot multiple rounds into an apartment that was occupied by several people, which then hit another apartment that was empty.

No one was injured during the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
