Burlington McDonald’s robbed overnight

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police are searching for a man who they say robbed a McDonald’s early Monday morning, according to a press release.

Officers responded to 1829 N. Church St. around 3:01 a.m. in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, employees told police that one suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money. He pushed one person down to the ground on his way into the business before taking the money and fleeing.

Police attempted a K-9 track, but couldn’t locate the suspect.

One employee was treated by Alamance County Emergency Medical Services, but the injury was not related to the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.
