BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — Someone from the North Carolina coast won big in Saturday’s North Carolina Powerball drawing.

A $2 million Power Play ticket was sold at Minuteman Food Mart on Beach Drive in Brunswick County, according to a press release from the NC Education Lottery. The ticket matched all five white balls drawn, beating 1 in 11.7 million odds.

The winning numbers were 17,19, 21, 37 and 44 for the white balls and 16 for the red Powerball. The winning $421 million Powerball ticket was sold in Lafayette, Tennessee.

Saturday’s jackpot was the 12th largest in U.S. history. In January, a monster $1.6 billion Powerball prize was split three ways.

Both winners have yet to be identified.
