The U.S. Forest Service has set up an information center in Asheville to help people in the area deal with the many wildfires across the mountains, WLOS reported.

On Wednesday they were helping people with travel related questions, like road closures and air quality.

People had also asked about pets and an air quality expert said the same advisories for humans should apply to pets, too.

The information center is set up in the Montford neighborhood as a collaboration with several agencies. They have a phone a bank set up, and people sitting in a U-shaped table. Eight people worked to get all the relevant information out to people.
