Deputies investigating after Lexington woman shot in head
LEXINGTON, N.C. — A Lexington woman is in critical condition after she was shot in the head late Tuesday evening, according to a press release.
At about 9:51 p.m., police responded to 303 Brookside Drive in reference to an assault with a firearm. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 22-year-old Jessica Renee Holt lying on the porch, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Deputies are attempting to locate a person of interest, according to Davidson County Sheriff David Grice.

She was taken to Wake Forest Hospital and the investigation is ongoing.
