ASHEBORO, N.C. -- Zookeepers at the North Carolina Zoo turned feeding time for the Arctic foxes into a training session.
Keepers give them food with tongs to try and build trust.
"We work with them every day, we try to establish a relationship with them through training and feeding them," one zookeeper said. "At least so they are comfortable with us being around."
It is especially important for the zoo's newest Arctic foxes at the exhibit. One is 5 months old and the other is the 9-year-old veteran.
