Piedmont man accused of stabbing friend while in moving vehicle
YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — A Yadkin County man is accused of stabbing his friend during an argument while the two were in a moving vehicle.
Nathan Michael Pinnix, 41, of Hamptonville, is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to a news release from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office was contacted Wednesday evening by Winston-Salem police regarding a stabbing victim at a local hospital emergency room.
Following an investigation, the sheriff’s office determined an argument started while Pinnix and the victim, his friend, were driving in the Booneville area Wednesday, which led to the stabbing.
Pinnix was given a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 16.
