3 apartments shot into in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Three apartments were shot into in Burlington on Thursday, according to a news release from Burlington police.

At 7:12 p.m., officers responded to Park Ridge Apartments in the 1500 block of South Mebane Street after a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located two apartments that were shot into. Both were occupied at the time, the release said.

During the investigation, officers also learned that an apartment in the 700 block of Maple Avenue was shot into in the early morning hours Thursday. The incident was not reported to police.

No one was injured in any of the incidents.

It is unclear if the shootings are related, police said.
