Wilkes County man honors mother, popular family restaurant with cookbook

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. -- Food has always been a part of John Roselli's life.

His parents ran a restaurant in rural Wilkes County called Sunny Italy, which became known for their salad dressing and marinara sauce.

When his parents passed away, the restaurant closed, but Roselli isn't letting the flavors fade.

Even though the popular dressing and pasta sauce is available in stores, he felt like he could do more.

So, Roselli decided to take many of the restaurant's recipes and put them into a cookbook.
