Silver Alert issued for missing Greensboro man canceled

UPDATE: Nov. 10 — 5:30 a.m. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office canceled the Amber Alert for 35-year-old Stacy Lee Simpson Jr., according to a news release. No additional details were released.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Greensboro man.

At 9:45 a.m., Guilford County DSS reported that 35-year-old Stacy Lee Simpson Jr. walked away from the group home at 3810 Pineneedle Drive in Greensboro where he is a resident on Monday sometime after 5 p.m.

According to a news release from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, Simpson suffers from a cognitive impairment for which he must take medication on a daily basis.

Simpson was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue sweatpants and orange shoes. He also has headphones he listens to and will likely have them.
