Greensboro police investigate 2 robberies reported Sunday evening

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred Sunday evening, according to a news release.

First, police responded to the 1700 block of Walker Avenue in reference to a robbery from person shortly after 8:01 p.m. The victim said he was approached by a suspect with a handgun.

The suspect fled on foot and no injuries were reported.

Then at 9:49 p.m., police again responded to the 1700 block of Walker Avenue in reference to a robbery from person. Upon arrival, police discovered a second person was also approached by a suspect with a handgun.

The second suspect fled on foot and no injuries were reported.

Police believe the same suspect was involved in both robberies.

The investigation is ongoing.
