KING, N.C. — Illegal gambling was discovered at a King business Wednesday, according to a news release from King police.

The King Police Department executed a search warrant on King Business Center, located at 117 Retail Circle, and seized several illegal gambling machines and cash, the release said.

“While advertised as a ‘Business Center’ providing copying and faxing services, the only business reportedly being conducted at King Business Center during our investigation was illegal gambling,” the release said. “No evidence of any other business functions was found during the search.”

Arrests are pending in the investigation, King police said.
