GREENSBORO, N.C. — Both Guilford County and Forsyth County experienced issues with their 911 communications on Wednesday afternoon.

The issue has since been resolved.

In a news release from Greensboro police, the issue was described as “experiencing a high volume of 911 calls with no caller on the line and no information coming through to its system.”

Forsyth County EMS told FOX8’s Michael Hennessey AT&T’s tandem switch in Greensboro went bad, causing the issue.
