KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A Kernersville man was arrested and charged with numerous drug-related charges, according to police.

On Monday, the Kernersville Police Department Narcotics Unit, Thomasville Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations arrested and seized 16 ounces of heroin and 1 ounce of marijuana from Jerome Bethea.

Bethea was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin, one count of maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of violating the controlled substance act, one count of maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of violation the controlled substance act, one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $700,000 secured bond.
