GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Several years ago, Melissa Wallace said it was hard to find the perfect peanut to go with a beer.

So, she took matters into her own hands and decided to create what she believed to be the best beer-tasting peanut.

"It is pure North Carolina because you're using fresh North Carolina peanuts, a North Carolina lager and sea salt from the coast," Hops and Nuts owner Wallace said.

As they grew, they began to use several different flavors such as "Lager N' Lime," "Toasted Amber," "Shuga Heff," "Peppa Nut," and "Sugar Hops."

Wallace said the different peanut flavors expand the taste pallet and really bring out the flavor in the beer.
