Barack Obama sings ‘Purple Rain’ to young child dressed as Prince for Halloween

WASHINGTON — It looks as if President Barack Obama is enjoying his last several weeks in office.

A giddy Obama was handing out candy to White House trick-or-treaters Monday night when he noticed a young boy dressed as Prince. So naturally, he broke into his own rendition of the music legend’s “Purple Rain.”

Instagram user Masterwilliams posted a recording of the heartwarming interaction, thanking the commander-in-chief for the song:

When @barackobama sees your nephew dressed as Prince & starts singing Purple Rain! Yep, Best Halloween Ever!

Prince died April 21 at the age of 57 of an apparent opioid overdose.
