HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police are investigating an accident involving a vehicle and a child, according to High Point police dispatch.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Woodpark Drive after a report that a person had been hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was identified as an 11-year-old girl.

The girl was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, dispatch said.

It is unclear if the girl was trick-or-treating or what caused the accident.

No charges have been filed against the driver and an official report “has not made it through the system,” High Point police say.
