Police investigate 3 shootings, 4 robberies reported early Sunday in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police are investigating three shootings and four robberies all reported in the early morning hours Sunday in Greensboro.

First, police responded to 2214 Ellington Street reference a robbery from person shortly after 1 a.m. The victim said he was robbed at gunpoint.

Then at 1:34 a.m., police responded to 1717 Walker Avenue in reference to another robbery. The victim said he was robbed earlier by two men armed with handguns. No injuries were reported.

At 1:39 a.m., police responded to the Grandover Resort on 1000 Club Road in reference to another robbery. The victim was approached by a man who robbed him at gunpoint.

Police responded to the fourth robbery at 1714 Brice Street shortly after 2:40 a.m. A man armed with a handgun robbed the victim. No injuries were reported.

At 2:22 a.m., police responded to the 1800 block of Boulevard Street in reference to a shooting. Officers took the victim to the hospital for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

At 3:27 a.m., police responded to 4220 W. Wendover Avenue in reference to a shooting. Officers found a victim behind a business suffering from a non-life threatening injury. The victim was taken to the hospital by emergency workers to be treated.

Then, at 3:28 a.m., police responded to W. Friendly Avenue at Commerce Place in reference to a shooting. Officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital to be treated.
