Halloween is just a few days away.

While millions of Americans dress up for trick-or-treating or parties, a lot prefer to just close the curtains, turn off the lights and watch a scary movie.

With that in mind, Decluttr set out to figure out which horror movie scares people the most in each state.

“We used our data to find out which horror movie the residents of each state have been selling most, which obviously means that they’re just too scared to cling onto it… right?” the website wrote of their methodology.

In North Carolina, the website determined that the 2003 horror film “Wrong Turn” is scaring the most residents.

Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gives “Wrong Turn” a score of 41 percent, with the audience score up slightly, at 54 percent.
