Woman killed in Randolph County crash identified

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The North Carolina Highway Patrol has released the name of a woman killed in a one-car accident south of Asheboro Friday night.

The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m.

The victim was identified as Wilma Criscoe Dunlap, 57, of Asheboro.

According to Trooper R.G. Terry, Dunlap was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Old U.S. 220 near Old N.C. 13 when she lost control of her car, went off the road and struck a tree.
