GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Kernersville woman passed away Friday from injuries sustained in an accident in Greensboro earlier this month, according to a news release from Greensboro police.

Callielee Morris Wood, 93, died Friday at Moses Cone Hospital.

According to Greensboro police, Wood was traveling westbound on East Gate City Boulevard on Oct. 12 when she made a left turn towards the on-ramp to Interstate 40 West.

Wood failed to yield the right of way to another driver traveling eastbound and it resulted in a two-vehicle accident.

At this time, there are no charges pending in this incident, Greensboro police said.
