Virginia woman accused of poisoning coworkers by putting window cleaner into office coffee maker
STERLING, Va. — Talk about revenge.
A Virginia woman is behind bars after she allegedly poisoned her coworkers by pouring cleaning products in their coffee for months.
Deputies say Mayda Rivera-Juarez, 32, was arrested Friday and charged with assault after several former coworkers who were suffering from diarrhea and other severe digestive problems reported the incident, according to WJLA.
“The employees at this place had been getting sick, didn’t quite know what was going on,” said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman. “When she was coming in to get terminated, some of this came to light.”
No lasting injuries were reported as a result of the coffee poisoning. Rivera-Juarez is being held without bond at a local detention center.
