BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington woman was robbed and held at gunpoint during a home invasion Thursday evening, according to Burlington police.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Washington St. in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, they located 37-year-old Eeona Leivita Shalice Wright, who said several men kicked in her door and held her at gunpoint.

Police say that during the robbery, Wright’s father came to check on her, and that allowed her time to escape uninjured.

A K-9  attempted to track the suspects, but couldn’t find anything.

The investigation is ongoing.
