NC man accused of kidnapping same woman twice in 3 months
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Police are searching for a North Carolina man accused of kidnapping a woman twice in three months.
At about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Lincoln County Communications Center received a call from a resident saying that a man broke into a house, assaulted and kidnapped 22-year-old Kaitlin Victoria Greene.
WSOC reports the suspects were identified as 21-year-old Jacob Alan Houser, who is the ex-boyfriend of Greene, and another male partner who helped watch the get-away vehicle. Houser is already facing charges in connection with the woman’s first alleged kidnapping.
The first incident occurred on July 16 when officers say Greene was at home when she opened her door to answer a knock and he forced himself inside. He then grabbed her by the throat, dragged her out of the house and into his truck before driving to Cowan’s Ford Overlook. He then pulled her out of the truck and towards the water, but her screaming drew the attention of drivers passing by and authorities were called.
Police say they were able to locate Greene and Houser’s accomplice, but he’s still on the run.
Houser is facing first-degree kidnapping and felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill from Wednesday’s incident and second-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary of an occupied dwelling and assault by strangulation inflicting physical injury from July’s alleged kidnapping.
The investigation is ongoing.
