Man hospitalized after Greensboro shooting dies

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The person who was seriously injured in a shooting in Greensboro Tuesday night has died.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Phillips Avenue at 8:34 p.m. in reference to a shooting, according to a Greensboro police press release.

Upon arrival, officers located 26-year-old Kwamane Devon Barnard, of Greensboro, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.

There is no suspect information at this time and an autopsy will be conducted.

The investigation is ongoing.
