BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Three students are facing charges after they allegedly tried to rape a 12-year-old girl at their Brooklyn middle school last week.
The three boys — two 12-year-olds and one 14-year-old — took the girl to the bottom of a basement stairwell, robbed her and pinned her to the ground to pull her pants down, according to thew New York Daily News. The students then exposed themselves and attempted to rape the girl, but she was able to fight them off.
School officials found surveillance video of the incident the next day and called the police and students’ parents. Two of the boys were arrested on Oct. 6 while another was arrest on Monday.
The three boys are being charged as juveniles on attempted rape, attempted sex abuse, attempted criminal sexual act, robbery, grand larceny, and unlawful imprisonment charges.
